The electromobility department at Volvo Penta is a diverse team and consist of 5 groups and in total 65 engineers. We have a close collaboration within the electromobility department as well as with specific development projects.
We are now looking for the Manager for Application & Installation team within Electromobility at Volvo Penta.
Role description:
As manager for the Application & Installation team you will, with your team, be responsible for the development in our application projects together with our end customers. The group is also responsible for internal test applications both for marine and industrial.
Together with colleagues at Volvo Penta and within the Volvo Group, you will maintain and develop the long-term plans for this area supporting the Volvo Penta electromobility platform for marine and industrial applications worldwide.
Key responsibilities:
Engineering and Technology, lead the team responsible for Application & Installation within Electromobility at Volvo Penta.
Budget, accountable for team budget and engineering costs within your field of responsibility.
Product Owner, you are the product owner for the applications we have in production.
People, you are coaching, building knowledge, and leading your engineering team of 12 highly motivated engineers.
Development of working processes and practices within your area of responsibility in the quest for continuous improvement.
Speed in execution and creating flow is a key asset for the role.

Dedication to customer success, ability to build deep understanding of customer needs and capability to translate this into vision and plans supporting the overall targets for the R&D community.
Hands on visionary, meaning the ability to convey a compelling vision but also the competence to bring it down to real roadmaps and actions.

Extensive Engineering experience, with a passion for Electric and Hybrid drivelines both in Marine and Industrial applications
