Permobil recruit a Manager Electronics & Software development

Your role:

We have recently joined all our research and development resources into one global organization and are now searching for an experienced manager to lead our new global function for Electronic & Software Systems Development into the future.

To lead international and highly competent teams based in Nashville, USA and Timrå, Sweden, to create products with unmatched user experience. Entrepreneurship and innovation is our backbone and as we grow and integrate new technologies into our products we focus on continuously delivering innovative solutions that gives our users more independence.

The technology scope is wide - hardware, embedded software, system architecture and electronics. We work both with our own development of hardware and software, but also with suppliers - integrating their solutions into our platform. The majority of the work focuses on the powered wheelchairs, but we are also integrating software and electronics into manual wheelchairs as well as seating and positioning products. We work closely with research partners and are taking on exiting challenges, improving user experience and user possibilities, delivering outstanding and innovative systems to the market.



Qualifications:

* Years of experience of Electronic Systems Development
* Years of experience in a management role
* MSc or PhD in the field of electrical engineering
* Good team player and well regarded leader
* Experience from both strategic and operational work
* Experience from multi site development
* Experience from working internationally
* Experience as a manager over manager is a highly valued

The position is located in Timrå and will include travelling
