Manager Environmental Engineering - Flight Test & Verification

Your role

We are now searching for a new manager for the department of Environmental Engineering and Structural Dynamics within Flight Test and Verification. As a section manager for the department you will lead a team consisting of 14 employees with different roles and competences within the field. The team is responsible for verification and validation activities within:

* Mechanical and thermal environment
* Structural loads
* Structural Dynamics
* EMC
* Firing range.



Your main tasks will be to:

* Operatively lead your team
* Be responsible for safety and health, quality, capacity, efficiency and budget for your section
* Actively support new as well as ongoing projects
* Empower your employees by coaching and leading according to Saab's values
* Ensure that your team has the competence and confidence to handle current and future work, and recruit and introduce new employees when applicable
* Support personal development and the overall well-being of your team
* Translate strategies and high-level goals into clear and well communicated targets for your team members



Apart from having the overall responsibility for the section, you will also be a part of the management team for the area Vehicle Systems, Flight Dynamics and Airframe where you will support and be supported by other leaders in the organization.

To succeed in your role, we more specifically want you to have:

A degree in relevant discipline or equivalent working experience (e.g. mechanical, electrical or similar)
*

Excellent skills in spoken and written Swedish and English
*

Experience from line management or project management is a strong merit
*

Technical experience within parts of the area of expertise for the department is a strong merit

The department of Environmental Engineering and Structural Dynamics within Flight Test and Verification is part of the Business Area Aeronautics

This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
