Manager Field Quality Analysis Europe

The Volvo CE Technology function manage a world wide construction equipment technology organization with approximately 2000 engineers, technologist, designers and other colleagues.

Volvo CE Field Quality Analysis is responsible for performing statistical analysis; prioritizing and creating fast preparations of all field quality problems to be resolved for all VCE products i.e. manage the field quality feedback process. FQA is working in close collaboration with product maintenance teams, the sales regions and technical support teams.

FQA is also responsible for manage and drive the cross functional machine availability and up time strategy in Volvo CE and in the dealership.

FQA is supporting all functions within Volvo CE with statistical analyzed warranty data as well as develop tools for analysis.

The function FQA is present in all main sites and has a pure global activity field with multiple interactions in the field as well inside the company, why travel from time to time is required.

The Field quality analysis central Europe are responsible for field quality case builders covering, Wheel loaders, Articulated Haulers, Wheeled Excavator, Backhoe loaders, EU Pavers and compactions. The position includes direct reports in Eskilstuna, Braås, Konz and Hameln.

The position is based in Eskilstuna but the work environment is global, with interfaces all over the world.


Core Responsibilities:

For the area of Group Manager FQA Europe:

· Manage Field Quality Analysis Europe department (ESK, BRA, KONZ, HML)

· Provide warranty statistical analysis to Volvo CE functions

· Provide quality secured and fast field quality data to product maintenance

· Collaborate with all FQA departments in global processes and operational development.

· Lead and implement agreed process and organizational changes.

· Develop and maintain the function field quality analysis Europe



Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities:

· Field Quality analysis central Europe, including FQ case builders and FQ analysts

· Secure calculation and forecast of CAS for SPC acc to global guideline

· Secure regular communication on quality escalation issues

· Define, develop and maintain short and long term need of competence and resources.

· Prepare, own and maintain the department budget

· Set targets for the department and ensure that global targets, KPI?s and actions are reached

· Lead and allocate department work

· Consolidate and report PI & KPI´s agreed within the function

· Drive and contribute to FQA process improvements

· Execute the Volvo PBP cycle with all department members

· Set salaries for all employees



Qualifications:

· Experience from managing people

· Good leadership skills

· Analytical ability

· Experience working in quality areas.

· Focused on meeting objectives, and delivering according to time, cost and quality targets

· Fluent in English, oral and written

· M.SC or equivalent


The position involves global travelling.
