The Product Area (PA) Primary Products within SMT is serving the mining business with rock drill steel. We are growing the stainless bar and billet business in markets where high-level requirements concerning corrosion, machinability and other parameters are essential. In addition, our key mission is to serve the whole of SMT with pre-material, at top quality and low, competitive costs. JOB SUMMARY
As Manager of Finance and Purchasing for Primary Products, you are responsible for developing, adapting and implementing the PA’s financial and purchasing initiatives; managing activities and processes to meet internal and external needs and safeguarding the compliance with Sandvik principles, guidelines and frameworks within the area. Ensuring an efficient structure, as well as high quality in financial figures and services are vital parts of your assignment, and you work in close collaboration with the business to manage profit and loss within the PA. You are also responsible for providing financial counsel to the PA and you take an active role in our management team. Last but not least, you develop and coach your team through effective performance management and you identify improvement needs within the function.
