An exciting opportunity opens within FSM Base Materials. Our primary area of responsibility is to develop an ecosystem of suppliers that have the capability to secure sustainable competitive and qualified base materials that are delivered to our factories with consistent customer-focused quality level and to support the Tetra Pak material innovation agenda.
You will lead a central competence center available for the Tetra Pak organization which handle base material technical supplier management and development of base material specifications within the field of foil & ink.
This role will put you in contact with key internal and external stakeholders across different functional and international borders. You will be reporting to the Director Technology and be a member of the Base Material Technology management team.
The position is based in Lund, Sweden.
What you will do
As Manager Foil & Ink Technology you will:
Lead and develop people and competence in the two categories Foil and Ink Technology
Develop and implement the global Foil & Ink supply strategies in close connection with procurement
Own the content of the technology roadmap for foil and ink
Develop specification portfolio towards evolving customer quality, supply, sustainability, and cost demands
Assure suppliers’ compliance to specifications and push for quality improvement
Lead Technology Know-How and Issue Resolution activities towards customers and converting factories.

Who you are

Building relations comes easy to you and you know how to balance listening with persuasion and helpfulness with firmness. Also, you are analytical and organised which makes it easy for you to create a structure and keep track on many parallel issues. You are a good communicator and excellent at both spoken and written English.
Your educational background is university degree within Engineering at a Master’s level or above. It is required that you have proven people leadership (line manager or similar) experience (minimum 5 years), strong collaboration skills and the ability to drive and implement change. You have experience (5-10 year) and solid knowledge about the ink and foil manufacturing industry and/or related technologies. Experience with converting and food packaging applications is a clear advantage, as well as experience in production and quality management, strategic account management and technology development.
