Manager for Fox in a Box Stockholm Escape Room
Fox in a Box is looking for a manager to operate the newly opened escape room location at Sveavägen 14 in central Stockholm. It is one of the largest escape room facilities with 10 escape rooms and the possibility to include a café. Other services provided include conference room rental and at customer location visits with our portable puzzle systems.
The business has about 5-8 people full time employees and a network of staff working on an hourly basis.
Background
The Stockholm location is owned by Fox in a Box, a franchise network of about 30 locations around the world in Europe, USA and Mexico. Through the franchise system you receive a wealth of experience and knowhow as well as marketing support.
Description of the role
The manager of this location is a team leader that is responsible for the revenue and success of the location as well as the staff and facilities. During a normal week you will work closely with the team and ensure that the schedule and plans are working, react to customer feedback and improve the business and market the location through emails and flyers. You might find yourself greeting customers at one moment, repairing a puzzle in a room in the next and finish the day doing a revenue forecast for the next 12 months. As a corporate owned location you will also be part of working on projects aimed to improve the whole franchise. It is a multifaceted role for the person who likes to be in the middle of the action and to have a direct impact on the end result while striving for the best customer experience.
You will report to the CEO of Fox in a Box who has his office at the location.
Skills
We do look for somebody that has the following skills
Excellent in customer experience, both for private persons as well as for companies
Hands on marketing experience
Team leadership with focus on hitting set goals
Project management and problems solving
Experience
We know that in order to handle this role it is important that you have experience from at least several of these areas
Hospitality business, maybe you have worked at or managed a bar, café or restaurant or any other type of location based entertainment
You have managed a schedule for shift working staff and are used to hiring and managing staff
Marketing activities to spread the word about a business, both online and offline, or experienced in communication and briefing outside suppliers (such as advertising agencies, public relations agencies etc.)
Managing a budget and to keep a forecast up to date
You are used to negotiate with suppliers, authorities and contractors and reading contracts and managing a facility
Using common analytics tools to review the performance of for example a marketing campaign
Have experience from a business that operates for long hours seven days a week
Requirements
We believe that you must have experience of the following areas to be successful in your role.
Speaking English as all the company communication, at the location as well as within the franchise, takes place in English as the staff is international. You will also interact with other location managers around the world on a frequent basis.
Basic knowledge about Swedish labour laws and regulations will take you a long way
Management experience, you had people reporting to you in the past and you are accustomed to lead by setting goals
