The CIO Office ensures that all strategic aspects of the IT function at Sandvik are taken care of and being managed to facilitate the long-term efficiency of IT, in accordance with the overall development of Sandvik and delivery of business value. Additionally, the CIO Office ensures a consistent and strategic approach to the use of information technology across the enterprise.
Project Portfolio Management is a function responsible for ensuring transparency and enabling prioritization of IT projects from a Sandvik perspective. We are now looking for a temporary Manager for IT Project Portfolio, to fill the role during a parental leave. The location for this position is, preferably, Sandviken, but can also be at other Sandvik units.
Key performance areas
As Manager for IT Project Portfolio you will manage the total IT project portfolio for projects related to IT at Sandvik. You work in close cooperation with the business areas' IT Project Portfolio/PMO. Your main responsibility is IT Project Portfolio Management for Sandvik: continuously developing and establishing frameworks, guiding principles and processes to support a successful IT Project portfolio for Sandvik. You also develop and establish co-operation with businesses and IT Global Shared Service. Additionally, you ensure project portfolio methods, support and control.
The position requires traveling.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Finance, IT or Engineering and relevant work experience, in accounting/finance, cost control and budgeting. You have at least five years experience from project management methods and control and project portfolio management, preferably within IT. Previous leadership experience is a prerequisite. You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, while knowledge of SAP is advantageous. Also, certification in project management and portfolio management are advantageous. Finally, you have excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, while skills in Swedish are advantageous.
