Manager for Real Estate Projects

Sandvik Mining is a business area (BA) within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.

To secure professional Real Estate (RE) management, and further develop the RE function, we are now looking for a manager for Real Estate Projects within the BA Mining. We offer you a key role with an opportunity to grow and continue within Sandvik, and the chance to build strong international, cross functional internal networks.

The groups have about five project leaders and in this position you will share the responsibility for them. The location for this position is flexible, but preferably Stockholm.

Key performance areas
As Manager for Real Estate Projects, you secure professional project management by managing execution for estate project teams. You ensure that a well-documented and globally communicated RE project model and tools & methodologies exists and are continuously being used within the area. For projects, you give active support in contractual, technical, organizational and other project related matters. You are also managing and motivating the RE project teams, participate in selected development steering groups and perform development project audits.

Moreover, you manage global pre-study projects, in time, within budget and according to standards, project model and guidelines with a high focus on Environment Health and Safety (EHS). You perform pre-studies based of the documentation of the business and its requirements, do the selection process for the design works and completion of the Investment Approval documents as well as support business representatives in developing the business case and required material for Sandvik AB Board approval.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a technical degree, preferably with Project Management Certification such as PMI, IPMA or Prince2. You have five to ten years of Project Management experience in a large international organization, with focus on current EHS practices and legislation, as well as experience in project management with a structured approach. Also, you have good experience of controlling budget and planning, and knowledge of international construction law. Experience of global project is a merit, as is good technical skills and experience in Real Estate projects. International land acquisition process is qualifying as well as local construction law. You have good skills in English, in both writing and speaking.
