You will be part of ABB HVDC within the Power Systems Division in Ludvika. HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used to transmit power through long distances at minimal loss, using overhead lines, lands and sea cable systems. The Control & Protection department is responsible for designing, delivering, testing and commissioning the Control & Protection system utilized by HVDC.
Your responsibilities
Leading a skilled team of software system integration engineers in the daily work, as well as creating a compelling vision ahead.
Taking ownership of developing the team’s work processes.
The work entails occasional trips globally and you will collaborate with development engineers, designers and customers in Sweden and abroad.

Your background
You hold at least a B.Sc. preferably in a suitable technology field.
Strong technical background within software development or electric power transmission.
Experience from managing people is highly qualifying and so is experience in industrial projects and knowledge of industrial control systems.
Since we work in an international environment you need to master spoken and written English.
As a person you have a passion for people and technology, are strong in decision making and have the right inner drive to take on full responsibility for your scope and deliver on time in a dynamic environment.
You are a genuine team player that seeks and enjoys collaboration with peers and partners.
