In this role you will lead and develop a global team of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) professionals that provides pro-active HSE support to the HVDC projects. The team consists of specialists working as back office support (responsible for base documents, audits, investigations, and statistics analysis) and site HSE resources that works on the project sites.
Make your contribution in improving HSE performance in the HVDC project deliveries of the global HVDC organization, promoting exemplary health and safety culture as well as a solid focus on the environment.
Your responsibilities
Support employee development in your team using coaching leadership.
Ensure accountability and high-level safety performance: coach and support people at all levels of the organization to realize a health & safety culture.
Drive and promote a solid safety (HSE) culture in the HVDC Business. Support and coach managers and key functions on how to act as culture ambassadors using a behaviour based safety approach.
Resource planning. Plan for future resource and competence need, allocate site HSE resources and follow up team workers workload to plan for future assignments.
Ensure that the team identify trends, review, and analyse HSE deviations, investigate accidents and root causes and introduce and supervise corrective actions. Share and highlight issues, best practices, and new compliance obligations to the global organization.
Ensure that continuously updating the safety audit program, planning, and performing safety audits is done according to requirements.
Support responsible managers when incidents and sickness occur.

Your background
You are an experienced and authentic manager with solid communication skills, enabling you to address different organizational levels. With your open communication style at eye level you can motivate other positively as well as solve critical situations and conflicts.
You hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Master of Science, an HSE education or similar experiences.
You have HSE experience from infrastructure projects. Construction site experience is a merit.
You can grasp both the full picture and understand the complexity in processes of change. At the same time, you can make decisions, take initiative, and launch new activities. We are looking for someone who combines business mind and the ability to motivate, coach and develop people.
Behaviour-based safety is a central value for you, which shows in your everyday work.
You are willing to travel.
Fluency in English is required, Swedish is a merit.
