HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.

Your responsibilities
Contribute to improving Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance in both the lead organization in Sweden as well as in the HVDC project deliveries of the global HVDC organization to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment
Ensure accountability and high-level safety performance: coach and support people at all levels of the organization to realize a health & safety culture
Plan and carry out safety audits, identify trends, review and analyze HSE deviations, investigate accidents and root causes, introduce and supervise corrective actions
Responsibility for continuously updating the safety audit program
Analyze, share and highlight issues, best practices and new compliance obligations to the global organization
Follow up, analyze, present, ensure actions on HSE targets
Coordinate good introduction to HSE for new management participants/new managers within the management team
Support responsible managers when incidents and sickness occur

Your background
An experienced and driven manager with solid communication skills to address different organizational levels
You hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Master of Science, an HSE education or similar experiences
Experience of project management as well as HSE risk management
Have conducted Project Management Trainings and you are familiar with the ISO standards
It is also a plus if you have previously worked in a global organization and hold a NEBOSH certificate
You can grasp both the full picture and understand the complexity in processes of change. At the same time, you are a doer who has the ability to make decisions, take initiative and launch new activities. We are looking for someone who combines business mind and the ability to motivate, investigate and coach
Experience in similar position would be highly appreciated
Fluency in English and Swedish is required as well, both written and spoken
