Manager IT Sourcing for assignment in Stockholm

On behalf of our customer we are looking for a buyer within IT for a position at a company in northern Stockholm. The person we are looking for must have earlier experience from a tactical or strategic role within IT sourcing and be in possession of good stakeholder management skills. The role

Working as Buyer of IT you will you will take business ownership and be in tight collaboration with the IT Management team. You will be responsible for defining the commercial strategy and ensure execution of initiatives to drive cost reduction and transform value from the supplier markets into business results.

Building informed and insightful partnerships, the role will draw on relationship management skills to positively engage with stakeholders across the IT group to ensure sourcing is seen as a trusted business partner. 

This position will be placed in Stockholm, Kista.

Main tasks:

Analyze spend and create spend profile to find cost down/ out potentialsMaintain Approved Supplier ListAssess and mitigate risks in supplier baseSegment and develop supplier relationshipsOwn and drive development of supplier performance and capabilitiesEnsure supplier compliance Perform supplier selection and qualificationPerform RFQ/RFP process and negotiate prices and conditionsNegotiate and maintain contracts

Experience and competence

We expect you to have a business and/or a technical education on a bachelor level. Furthermore, you have at least 5-3 years of experience working in a tactical or strategic role within sourcing – including negotiations with suppliers, writing and interpreting contracts and agreements in the IT sector. Experience from global companies and organizations is preferred.

You have experience from being commercial responsible in high value projects. From your earlier experience you are used to manage complex IT business agreements and negotiations and be the “driver” in sourcing projects. You are good at building and managing relationships and maintain effective working relations with a range of people, understanding their needs and goals. The role requires a thorough knowledge in IT Governance as well as in IT Project Management and common software and hardware products on the market. A high focus on cost saving targets contributing to profit to further enable growth is important.

We believe you have strong communication and negotiation skills with a business mindset. We also think you have strong presentation skills. You have an analytical and critical mindset which helps you to understand and manage a high amount of data to derive messages for presenting alternatives and recommendations. You can work proactively and have a willingness to push your assignments towards their objectives.
