Our current manager for the Logistics Supplier Management team in the Nordic region is moving on to a new assignment within Scania and we are looking for his successor.

Logistics Supplier Management, LSM, is a part of Scania Logistics’ Regional Material Control (RMC) setup. RMC Nordic is together with RMC Central Europe and RMC Latin America responsible for the inbound flows (Transport and Material Control processes) to all global production units at Scania.

The Logistics Supplier Management team is a vital support function to our operational teams and Scania’s logistics organization with focus on maintaining high quality in Scania's Supply Chain. The team have a wide responsibility, but main tasks consist of the following:


• Supporting our operational Material and Transport Control teams with driving escalation cases to manage deviations from suppliers or logistics providers. Both to secure quick short-term solutions and coordinate crisis management activities, but also to work with implementing robust long-term solutions and development activities to restore the normal situation and further improve the Scania Supply Chain.
• Responsible for Logistic insights to Scania's Sourcing Process. This is gathered by conducting Audits and Ratings of part supplier and logistics providers to assess their current performance or evaluate their capabilities to become a partner to Scania from a Supply Chain perspective. As well as cost calculations of the logistics cost for new sourcing projects. 
• Additional to above assignments the LSM team is also involved in projects where Supply Chain Quality requires a high focus, mainly when designing, assessing, and implementing new transport tenders in Scania's transport network or projects where new demands and requirements from logistical providers needs to be addressed.

Your work assignment
As manager for Logistic Supplier Management you would lead a team of nine very skilled, experienced, and independent team members, acting in a highly dynamic environment.

The function is developing in a high pace and an important task is to work cross functionally within our supply chain, both with the internal stakeholders within RMC Nordic, with your colleagues at LSM Central Europe and LSM Latin America, the Scania Purchasing organization and of course our suppliers and logistic providers. Looking at Scania’s journey ahead there will also be an increasing focus on cross-brand collaboration within the TRATON Group.

As manager for the team, you are expected to lead by example, act as a role model and both support and challenge your team members to reach the defined targets while continuously improve the team and department’s performance. You will lead the daily work, follow up escalations, projects and performance, act as an escalation step for your employees as well as nurture and develop the team and its members.

In this position you will also be a part of the RMC Nordic management team, where we will set the strategies for the department and together define activities to develop our methods, processes and most importantly our teams and employees to be prepared to meet the future business needs of Scania and the TRATON Group.

This is a job in an international environment with many contact surfaces, where communication and cooperation are the keys to success.

Your profile
You have previous management experience, a proven record of deep knowledge within Logistics and Supply Chain, and it is meritorious if you earlier have worked with Material or Transport Planning, Procurement or Supply Chain Development. As the work is conducted in an international environment you need to master English fluently in speech and writing. You also need to be interested in working with people and to lead and develop groups and processes.
