Manager Manufacturing Engineering at Volvo Penta Vara Operations


We are looking for a curious and courageous Manager for our Manufacturing Engineering team who will work together with our current Engineers to take on the task to optimize our production and develop the Plant to be the efficient and flexible production site it needs to be to take us in to the future. We believe you have a natural interest in leadership and the capability to improve organization, routines and processes.


We will reinforce the organization with this role in order to speed up the transformation of our organization into the future. You and your team will drive improvement initiatives within Manufacturing Engineering and together with the producing departments create the best quality for our customers. You will work both Operative and strategically and create routines and build competence to develop stabile processes.


You will be reporting to the Manager Engineering and be part of the Vara Engineering mgmt. team where you are expected to take an active part in developing the organization and the collaboration with other functions inside Volvo to create a solid but flexible process.


You hold a Technical-related university degree and have work experience in our industry related to manufacturing engineering. You are passionate about people and an experienced leader who knows how to bring out the best out of your team. You love challenges and you possess the ability to see opportunities where others see obstacles. You understand organizational dynamics and that business success originates from respectful relationships, continuous learning and genuine trust. You are self-driven, analytical and a doer who works in a structured way. You are curious about change and would like to play a key role in the transformation towards the future for the Volvo Penta Vara Operations.
