Here is a golden opportunity within Manufacturing Engineering Technology and Industrialization, where we are looking for a new Group Manager who will be a part of Manufacturing Engineering Geometry and Body, belonging to the IO&Q unit. Besides entering a managerial position, you will play an important part in the ME Technology and Industrialization management team. Your future department is responsible to develop the process and implement vehicle programs and engineering changes into the global production sites within the area of Body in White.
The group Technology & Industrialization is part of Manufacturing Engineering Geometry and Body and has responsibility for develop and implement equipment solutions for product projects, running changes, capacity projects and non-product projects according to project targets. The team is in Olofström and consists of around 15 people. Your main task is to set future business direction within the area of process, facility, tooling and equipment for the VCBC Body shop.
We are looking for a person who can demonstrate personal leadership in support of company business objectives, coach and guide people in change and is a person who truly lives our Volvo Cars WE Culture.

What will you do?
We believe that you can organise work and resources so that company objectives, short and long-term are met in an efficient manner. We are also expecting that you will contribute as an active member in the Technology and Industrialization management team where you can bring in new ideas and reflections. Our managers at Volvo Cars play a very important role as ambassadors both within the company and with external contacts.
You will manage to implement common process equipment with focus on effective and quality secured production and robust equipment solutions. Utilising assigned company resources effectively to add value to the business and/or support value creation activities in the business is important in this role.

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you who has a Senior high school / university level education and experience of tooling and equipment engineering work. You bring leadership skills in project management or previous working experience as a manager.
To be successful in this role you need to have basic knowledge about body in white processes. For us it is essential that you are curious in learning more about how to set up robust and high performing process lines. Obtaining high integrity and a holistic view is key in this position.
You need to have the ability to create good long-term relationships with employees and other stakeholders. Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken and you also need to have the flexibility to travel.
