Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Supply Chain Networks (department OI), is a key function within Scania Logistics and Scania Industrial Operations. The ambition at Supply Chain Networks is to become the leader within sustainable logistics. Our mission is to globally develop, manage and optimize inbound logistics by building and operate flows with minimal environmental impact, high quality at minimal logistic cost.

You now have the opportunity to join the team at Supply Chain Networks and more specifically the department Regional Material Control Nordic (department OIC). RMC Nordic is together with RMC Central Europe and RMC Latin America responsible for the inbound flows to all global production units at Scania. In each RMC there are four main functions: Global Material Control, Transport Control, Material Supply Engineering and Logistic Supplier Management.

Our current Material Supply Engineering manager is moving on to a new assignment within Scania and we are now looking for her successor.

Material Supply Engineering (MSE) is a team responsible for first line engineering with focus on maintaining high efficiency in our supply chain. MSE is working close to our daily operations to support and secure real time measures to improve and challenge our ways of working within the department and cross functionally in the company. The team also holds an important role when it comes to integrating new business requirements into existing ways of working and manage our vital IT systems.

Your work assignment
As manager for Material Supply Engineering, you would lead a team of 7 logistic engineers, acting in a dynamic and exciting environment.

The function is developing in a high pace and an important task is to work cross functionally within our supply chain and align processes to enable efficient solutions in our Transport- and Material Control setup.

As manager for the team, you are expected to lead by example, act as a role model and both support and challenge your team members to reach the defined targets while continuously improve the team and department’s performance. You will lead the daily work, follow up projects and performance, act as an escalation step for your employees as well as nurture and develop the team and it's members.

In this position you will also be a part of the RMC Nordic management team, where we will set the strategies for the department and together define activities to develop our methods, processes and most importantly our teams and employees to be prepared to meet the future business needs of Scania and the TRATON Group.

This is a job in an international environment with many contact surfaces, where communication and cooperation are the keys to success.

Your profile
You have a university degree, preferably previous management experience, but most importantly a proven record of deep knowledge within Logistics and Supply Chain as well as experience from working with process development. You need to be communicative, driven and method focused. You need to master English in speech and writing since there are daily international contacts. You need to be interested in working with people and to lead and development groups and processes. To be successful in the role you must have a high interest in supply chain management.
