Your challenge – and what you can expect

As Manager Mechanical Development at Mycronics in Täby, you will be managing a team of approximate 20 engineers where flexibility is built in through the use of external consultants. Together with your team, you are responsible to deliver mechanics components and systems to the related products achieving the QDCF targets. As manager you will be responsible to plan and manage the competence and balance towards the portfolio and lead activities to find creative solutions to deliver on time. The department shall strive to find efficient solutions, based on modularity with the possibility for re-use between the products when applicable.

 

Your responsibility will be

• Develop and provide quality assured technical solutions, based on system requirements.
• Plan the size of the team based on the current project portfolio need.
• Develop competences and resources to deliver the complete project portfolio as well as responsible for the department’s competence growth to support the long term needs.
• Drive mechanics development synergies and commonality across the product platforms.
• Develop and execute technical solutions to satisfy the need for modularity and reuse.
• Drive standards and use of design guidelines within the platform area.
• Owner of the design solutions and maintenance throughout the life cycle.
• Development and maintenance of relevant development tools according to the tools strategy


 

Who you are – and what you will need to succeed

You have strong leadership skills and you are a good team builder with the ability to engage the whole team. As a person you have an open attitude, easy to communicate, a positive mind-set and a high level of personal responsibility. You thrive in a global and fast-changing environment where your ability to prioritize–and reprioritize–come to its full use. On top of this, you need:

• A University degree (M.Sc or B.Sc)
• 3 years management experience
• Experience in design Engineering
• Experience in Process Management & change management                         
• Fluency in English, written and spoken alike
