Manager Near Mine Exploration

Task and duties
As manager for Near Mine Exploration, you will have the general responsibility for the department comprising five sections in Finland, Sweden and Ireland. The department goal is to add mineral resources to the operating mines in the company and to provide opportunities for growing and expanding the operations.
The role includes:
· Personnel – Leading five section managers with a total of around 40 employees
· Budget – Responsibility to compile budgets and report progress on the exploration results
· Responsibility for safety, wellbeing, and environmental performance of the department
· Negotiating and cooperating with contractors and consultants
· Liaising with stakeholders and governmental authorities
· Ensuring that the projects follow valid laws and regulations for mining and exploration companies in the respective countries
· Maintaining a continuous dialogue with the customers, the operating mines within Boliden
You will be part of the Boliden Exploration management team and report to the Exploration Director. The position is based out of the Boliden Office or at any of Boliden Mines other locations. Frequent travelling is required and if location other than Boliden, frequent presence in Boliden Office is required.
Education & qualifications
We place great emphasis on your ability as a manager to motivate others and provide clear leadership for you team. You are a team player who works actively for the development of the team and company, and as a manager you are expected to be result oriented and have a high level of drive.
The position requires that you have a university degree within geoscience, mining engineering or similar. You should have substantial experience from mining and exploration companies and previous managerial experience.

You must be fluent in English language, Swedish and/or Finnish is a merit. Driving license for car is required.
