As Manager of Network Services, you will be part of a dynamic team with a global responsibility and reach throughout the SKF Group. SKF is on a digitalization journey and here is a great opportunity to join a dedicated force working towards enabling digital business through proactive development of Network services while ensuring the day-to-day operations are stable.
Manager Network Services
SKF is now looking for a people- and results-oriented individual to join our organisation; who drive, develop, shape, and lead a team to achieve these objectives. This role will be responsible to ensure compatibility, availably and integration of network services with enterprise strategies. The successful candidate is an excellent leader with a track record of driving results and translating investment into value for the business. Reporting to the Director, Infrastructure and Security, this role will work closely with the Infrastructure and IT Security teams.
Your day-to-day work and responsibilities
Build, and lead, a team that is focused on the optimal availability of IT Services, at optimal cost, in support of SKF Business. Monitor and govern the operational stability and overall quality of IT delivery.

Network Services providing Global connectivity to all SKF locations including WAN / LAN / WLAN / IP Management
Manage IT Budget for the above services

Forecast / actual cost planning. Cost improvements and efficiencies. Development / Project activities
Develop and implement network strategy to ensure the provided network service is future proof and matches SKF Business expectations. This strategy should look at SKF future business trends and opportunities, and plan to ensure network services can be made available.
Focus on continual improvement of services to ensure enhanced User productivity / experience and make IT the preferred vendor of choice for SKF Business.
To participate in dialogue with SKF Business, understanding how IT can enable Business development, or explaining specific service failures (e.g. P1 incidents caused by network interruptions).
Liaise and Collaborate with other IT departments (e.g. Business Applications, Security, Workplace) to ensure that network services are optimal to support the services provided by other IT Teams.

SKF SIAM / Service Management team will provide and measure statistics on network service performance.
Manage (in conjunction with Team) IT vendors providing Network services within scope of control (majority of network services are provided from selected IT vendors).
To run the Service and Team, recognizing EHS, GDPR, Export Controls, Audit and other regulatory guidelines existing.
To be an active, energetic member of the Infrastructure and Security Management Team driving SKF IT Infrastructure and Security Strategy with speed. Managing cross functional initiatives with peers to meet common objectives.


We expect you to have...
BA/BSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 10 years of experience working within the IT Infrastructure and IT network area
Experience with Global IT Outsourcing strategy and implementation
Knowledge of key technology and market drivers within the network industry (SD-WAN etc.).
Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as: Export Control regulations and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Knowledge and understanding of various frameworks, including ISO27001, CoBIT, ITIL and SIAM Framework.
Excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, as well as establishing an open and transparent way of working, together with other departments of SKF IT and/or SKF business, through an inclusive leadership style
Experience with contract and vendor negotiations

Additional information
Preferred location: Brussels (Belgium), Gothenburg (Sweden), Houten (Netherlands) OR Steyr (Austria). Local contract.
