Arbetsbeskrivning
Sandvik holds a world leading position in the manufacturing industry, and innovation, exceptional collaboration, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability is in our DNA. Becoming part of our world means many exciting encounters characterized by brilliant minds, a truly global network and creative environments, but most of all, you’ll get great opportunities for developing your own path.
It's in the people that we find our success, and at the Nordic Recruitment and Employer Branding department, we believe that this starts with strong recruitments and employer branding. Our aim is to create the very best in-house recruitment processes, and through innovative employer branding strategies make Sandvik the employer of choice. This can be done through a proactive workforce, talent management and recruitments directly linked to the needs of the business. We’re now looking for a new manager to develop an experienced team into new and ground-breaking ways of working. We offer you an exciting opportunity to be part of building a strong organization for the future. Welcome to our exciting world!
In this role, you’re part of HR Services Nordics’ (HRS) management team and you report to the Head of HRS. The location for this position is Sandviken.
The job
Your solid leadership experience really matters in this role as your mission is to lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of experienced recruitment and employer branding professionals – always with the importance of a strategic vision in mind.
You lead people working in various functions: recruiters, recruitment communication specialists, recruitment administrators, PMO professionals, talent researchers and employer branding specialists. Therefore, it’s important that you continuously communicate goals and visions within the team, as well as delegate whenever possible. The employees need a manager who’s leading the team in a strategic way going into the future!
Working centrally in a decentralized organization calls for a need to be truly perceptive to the business. Aligning with managers in our different business areas is key to succeed in this role, to ensure that your team fulfills their needs and stays consistent with the organization’s overall HR strategy. You direct the organization's recruitment activities to ensure that the recruitment process enables the best selection for each role and that it’s conducted efficiently, economically and in accordance with the organization's policies and standards. This is strongly connected to supporting the employer branding function in attracting the right people.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with at least five years of leadership experience as a manager for people in a diverse organization. A university degree? Yes, if it’s relevant it might come in handy – but in the end, it’s your experience that really matters. As this department is transaction-based, it’s strongly beneficial if you’ve had profit and loss responsibility in previous roles. Also, it’s a good thing if you know how to utilize digital tools such as Office 365 to ensure transparency and good collaborations within the team, as well as with the surrounding business’. Since we’re a global player, you have excellent communication skills in English, and as we’re operating in Sweden, knowing Swedish is a must.
That’s the hard skills, but who are you as a person? We believe that you’re a people-person with no prestige who easily builds relationships with people at all levels of our company. You have a thorough business interest, and as a team player, you see your leadership as an opportunity to develop others. You’re service- and solution-oriented, and a great communicator who keeps everyone informed and onboard in decision making processes.
