The company is comprised of a team of scientists providing laboratory services, products and education / training services across a broad range of nucleic acid analysis technologies including PCR, NGS and proteomics. The company serves a variety of pharma, biotech and academic customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to get involved early on in setting up TATAA for its next phase of growth.

ARBETSUPPGIFTER
TATAA is seeking a sample manager with a background in biological sciences, to serve as the primary coordinator and manager for all samples, reagents and laboratory equipment in a growing Contract Research Organization (CRO). This individual will be a valued and essential member of a diverse team of scientists who support a variety of contracted research activities in the field of proteomics, quantitative PCR and NGS.

Responsibilities

Administrative activities
• Implement sample management capabilities and processes suitable to a GxP- and ISO- accredited service laboratory.
• Contribute to the establishment of sample management best practices, workflows and SOPs.
• Liaise with and provide support to external vendors for reagents, instruments and services.
• Liaise with Sponsors for all activities related to sample reception, storage, archiving, disposal and shipment.

Sample and reagent management
• Receive, reconcile, accession, and store samples
• Reagent shipment, reception, accession and control.
• Maintain, clean and update existing inventory and database as needed
• Ensure appropriate tracking of sample and reagent stability, ensure appropriate actions are initiated and monitor their progress until completion.
• Perform sample aliquoting, manually or using automated systems as applicable.

Lab instrument management
• Implement, maintain and monitor freezer temperature-monitoring system.
• Responsible for the timely calibration and maintenance of laboratory general instrumentation instruments (pipettes, centrifuges, automation platforms) as per internal and GxP requirements.
• Responsible of the timely computer system validation for the laboratory equipment and its maintenance according to defined standards and SOPs.
• Responsible of proper documentation and archiving of all activities.




KVALIFIKATIONER
Minimum Qualifications

• More than 5 years experience as sample manager in an ISO- or GxP-accredited service laboratory, ideally a CRO.
• Excellent computer skills including experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong ability to implement at company level.
• Strong understanding of the processes and protocols required in a scientific research organization.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following techniques: quantitative PCR, NGS, proteomics, automation.
• Fluent in English.
