In the role as Pilot & Synthesis Lab Manager you will report to the R&D Manager for Engineered Polymers who has the overall responsibility for the R&D activities within the product lines Expancel and Polysulfides.
In your future role as Manager for Pilot plant & Synthesis Lab you will
Be responsible for the pilot plant & product development laboratories for expandable microspheres at Expancel Stockvik
Support the R&D projects in the development of optimized & new products, especially in the manufacturing of lab samples & product prototypes and evaluation of processability, production scale up and technical development.
Ensure that the appropriate HSE-legislations and HSE site rules in the concerned laboratories are followed.
Ensure continues improvement for the productivity and efficiency in the synthesis laboratories to support execution of the product development projects
Lead, coach, appraise, engage and develop team members, ensure short and long-term resource planning.
Provide support to Expancel operations in trouble shooting
We believe you bring
Master's Degree in chemistry/chemical technology with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience or PhD in chemistry with 3 years of relevant experience.
Previous experience from laboratory work
Experience from leading people as a project manager or team manager
Fluent in Swedish and good English language skills, oral and in writing
Great if you have
Previous experience from the chemical process industry.
