Manager PMO Strategic Investments Operations Avesta

We are excited to announce an internal opportunity to elevate our strategic investment projects by establishing an Investment Project Management Office (PMO) at Avesta. This initiative is in line with Phase 3 of our Outokumpu strategy, focusing on strategic investments such as increasing production efficiency and capabilities. We are seeking an experienced PMO Manager with a proven track record to join our global team.

As the PMO Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding our strategic investments towards their target state, ensuring seamless communication across teams, and leading the implementation of large-scale investment projects. You will build, develop, motivate, and lead a team of high performers on projects of significant strategic importance.

Key Responsibilities:
Implement Strategic Investments: Manage the PMO to implement large investments for Operations Avesta.
Support Strategic Leadership: Assist the Head of Strategic Investments Avesta in leading strategic investment activities.
Foster Strong Networks: Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders involved in investment projects.
Inspire and Direct Teams: Lead a team within the PMO to achieve optimal execution of investment tasks and streams.
Ensure Project Success: Complete projects within specified timeframes and budget constraints.
Implement Structured Approaches: Support project managers with structured approaches to enhance overall investment management.
Align with Standards: Ensure projects align with Outokumpu’s Strategic Investments Project Standards.



Who are you?
Master’s degree or equivalent experience with an economic and/or technical background.
Strong interest in investment execution and proficiency in project management.
Balance results and customer-centricity.
Skilled in establishing a network of information and collaboration.
Experience in international or corporate environments.
Ability to manage a range of stakeholder interests and expectations.
Excellent communication and integration skills.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English; other languages are beneficial.
