Description
The Manager for Process Engineering, based in Lund, will report directly to the Projects Director North Europe & Benelux, and while the market area is North Europe & Benelux, the role is primarily concerned with the projects business within Europe & Central Asia.
The Manager has the direct line responsibility for about 20 persons including consultants, and will need a strong commitment to utilisation, actively seeking work and selling hours. The team will support all clusters and other entities within Tetra Pak when resource availability allows.
In addition to the above, there might be an additional responsibility as Market Area Functional Leader for Process Engineering.
Main responsibilities
-Support Plant Sales & Engineering with resources for development of future process solutions.
-Drive standardisation in process engineering across the North Europe & Benelux market area
-Actively identify opportunities for engineering work together with the clusters
-Drive to improve resource utilization by resource forecast planning and identifying opportunities in various cluster projects to allocate resources
-Collaborate with other Process Engineering Functional leaders in the cluster to ensure consistent standards and understanding
-Drive and implement cluster key initiatives related to process engineering
Qualifications
We are looking for a person who is able to inspire and motivate people in the organisation as well as collaborate with stakeholders within and outside the organisation. Your communication skills will match the challenges of managing staff at remote locations. Your strive for results and pro-active approach are very important.
The successful candidate is ideally educated to a degree level or similar within the technical area, e.g. chemical engineering. 5-10 years' experience in project environments in the process industry, preferably food, is required. Management experience with the understanding of how to build and manage a team is also required. Furthermore is understanding of networking and the challenges in the market place essential. A very good command of English, both written and oral is required.
