The Manager: Procurement Tools Technology and Automation leads the strategies, tactics, governance, analysis and solutions supporting the supplier master data, tools, automation and analysis needs for Dentsply Sirona’s Procurement organization.
Responsible for partnering cross-functionally with the Category Teams, IT, Finance, Global Business Services, Legal and other teams to create strategy, processes, tactics, templates, metrics, dashboards, and drive data management and automation projects to serve the customer through meeting the current and future needs of the procurement organization.
Your key accountabilities are:
Build a team that builds and improves data management, communication and actioning strategies and capabilities through leading multiple teams and driving strategies, including master data, metrics and analyses and process automation for the Procurement function.
Identify business automation needs, e.g. e-procurement middleware, and collaborate with Category team to select and onboard vendors and manage automation projects.
Design and establish data governance standard processes, metrics and stewardship to improve data quality, efficiency and operating effectiveness.
Responsible for driving a continuous improvement philosophy in the team and through all projects delivered to Procurement. Will collaborate with stakeholders to establish performance metrics and scorecards that will be used to measure and communicate Procurement and Supplier performance and manage closed-loop corrective and preventive action cycles.
Be a change agent and a key business partner to the Category Directors and Supply Chain VPs. Understanding of business is key to success.
Who you are
We believe you have:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level of relevant experience, master’s degree a plus.
Six Sigma Green Belt or higher or Lean certification is a plus.
Certified Data Professional or similar IT certification is a plus.
5+ years of experience in supply chain and 5+ year of data management.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with management, subordinates and peers.
Developing and successfully directing a team.
Experience with best in class supply chain systems.
Experience with Data Warehouse products and ERP’s.
Must have experience in building out processes for data quality, governance and data stewardship.
Ability to negotiate and interact with suppliers.
Strong numerical problem-solving skills. Ability to boil down vast amount of data to the relevant points.
Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams on an international basis.
Fluency in English, speaking, writing and reading, is a requirement.
