Who is your future team?
As we have grown, we are now looking for new managers for the two product specialist teams (Video Products & Video Platform) within Product Management and this is one of the open positions. You will lead your team, report and collaborate with me (director of this organization) and the manager for the other team. We will work together to get this new setup of the organization in place.
The role of the product specialists, in the team you will be responsible for, can in large be divided into these areas:
* Take part in the development of new products/functionality, as an expert on customer needs, expectations and requirements. This includes involvement in internal projects, product documentation and meetings with external partners and suppliers.
* Solve customer cases: Solve and prioritize support cases of a high complexity, either on your own, or in close cooperation with Axis engineers or external suppliers.
* Drive competence: Create training materials, run product training sessions and create self-help content for customers.
* Maintain and develop product functionality: Identify new requirements and areas which cause problems, plan for new functionality, maintain existing product functionality, assist in pre-sales issues, etc.
What will you do?
You will be responsible for 16 competent and self-going product specialists with a wide range of background and age. Your role will be to see that all pre-conditions are there for them to do a great job, in form of a good work environment, clear role expectations, necessary tools and competence development.
As manager you will be responsible for budget forecasting, recruitment, development talks and salary setting for your team.
Together with me you will also work for a good service level towards our regions and R&D. We will be jointly responsible for enabling good collaboration and team spirit in the organization.

We are looking for someone with a strong drive to manage from a people perspective. You strive to see people grow and drive change in a structured way. You love being in a leading role but also to dig down and help out where it is needed.
You will interact with a lot of different persons in your role and you need to be good at growing your contact network. Education and information sharing are also important parts in the role and you have a pedagogic approach as well as being fluent in both English and preferably Swedish.
You have a technical background with a Bachelor degree or similar. We'd love to hear that you have leadership experience in some form, either from a manager role or from project management. Experience from product development, customer support and knowledge about Axis products is a merit.
Some travel might be required in this role.
The Product Management Team
Within Product Management we have three different organizations: Product Managers, Product Specialists, and the Product Introduction Management team.
Product Management is responsible for video hardware products at Axis. Our scope includes for example portfolio planning, product planning, managing the products' life cycle, education & training and handling of complex support issues. Our interfaces are both internal such as R&D, Sales & Marketing, Technical Services and Operations as well as external customers, partners and suppliers.
