Manager, Project Management - Pulp

We are looking for a Manager, Project Management to lead our project management team in Sweden, focusing primarily on projects within the Pulp Business Unit. Our P&E business line delivers complete pulp mills, process equipment for chemical and mechanical pulp production, and biomass- and waste-fueled power plants. Our main customers are pulp producers and power and heat producers.
In this role, you’ll be part of the P&E Global Project Management team and directly manage our project management professionals in Sweden. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that P&E and the Pulp BU meet their commitment to enhancing our customers’ performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure our projects are profitable and set up for success from the sales phase.
• Oversee product support for delivery projects.
• Ensure project involvement at the right stages of the sales process, and step in personally if needed.
• Develop and oversee the governance of the Pulp BU Project portfolio with the Director, Project Management for Pulp BU Projects.
• Keep track of project status and health through reviews and KPIs.
• Foster a proactive, action-oriented team spirit.
• Encourage cross-utilization of project management resources across the business
• Support the development and implementation of P&E project management strategic and annual planning.
• Provide guidance and support for high-risk and complex projects to ensure successful completion and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a firm grip on project risks, opportunities, contracts, claims, schedules, and financial status.
Expectations:
• A relevant B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering.
• 12+ years of experience in a relevant industry with customer interface.
• Proven track record in successful project management in heavy industry or construction projects.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and motivate your team.
• Strong understanding and experience in developing and managing project management processes, tools, and organizations.
• Excellent proficiency in English both verbal and written communication is required. Other languages are merited, especially Swedish.
Additional information: This position can be based in Sundsvall or Karlstad, Sweden. You need to be willing to travel on short notice.
