Manager R&D

Kongsberg Automotive?s R&D centre in Mullsjö is looking for a new: Manager R&D This is a senior position that acts within and supports one of our main business areas Interior Systems. The main duties and tasks are to: -drive and support our business by actively manage innovation, new technology, product knowledge and design methodology in close cooperation with customers and our operational units. -daily lead direct reports and teams in a global R&D organization (today app.50 co-workers); keep and develop an efficient and skilled team organization; maintain budget, capitalize on assets, create resources and to deliver results to objectives -participate in the Program Steering Committee (STC), the R&D management group of the division, represent the company and R&D function internally and externally -put forward proposals for strategic amendments based on competence, competition, organization, products, plants and equipment which will safeguard future customers and business; track competition and market trends. -successfully carry through change and reengineering projects, actions of continuous improvements, VAVE activities and related tools within lean. We expect you to have/be: -several years of successful experience in leading business, R&D, and/or product development in leading tech companies within or similar to the Automotive industry.-MSc or PhD in Engineering, supported with training in project management, business administration, business negotiation, leadership and similar. -experience in modern design methods: conceptual design, simulation, rapid prototyping, reverse engineering, modular function design, etc. -good natural people skills, being clear in communication and your leadership, ability to coach and motivate people and teams to performance and achievements, to collaborate in management teams and within organizations.-experience and interest in working in an international environment and dealing with cultural differences; being fluent in English, preferentially also German, French, or some other language. The work implies regular business travel and a daily use of modern IT and communication tools.The position is entitled to our global benefit program.
