Are you looking for a job that combines leadership with cutting-edge technology? We are now recruiting a line manager for the group Sensor Technologies within Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS) Research & Pre-Development, Scania R&D.
At ATS Research, our vision is to “shape the forefront of ATS technologies that pave the way to industrialisation”. We strive towards our vision by conducting pre-development and applied research, focusing on the latest technology within self-driving systems. Our work is strong value-driven with the clear aim to create future customer value. We operate in agile teams that work in close cooperation with leading partners and academic institutions, with the ambition to detect and evaluate upcoming technologies. Both our research and practical experiments shall iteratively lead to concepts for industrialisation.
Your responsibilities
You will be leading a group of development engineers specialized in sensor technologies and associated software development, e.g. decoders. Your most important task is to provide the pre-requisites needed for your employees to be successful in their job every day. The work approach is iterative development and the rapid prototyping enabled by a flexible platform for autonomous vehicles.
The team’s mission is to “together with the data consumers, provide the right sensor platform at the right time supporting the right needs”. To be successful in understanding and supporting the user's needs, close collaboration with adjacent teams is a necessity. Becoming fast in evaluating different sensor’s capabilities according to build-measure-learn is a core component in the autonomous development, tightly coupled with e.g. perception and localization.
Your profile
As a leader, you are a responsive and accessible team player that values collaboration. Together with your team, you drive the technical development forward. You grow with responsibility and have a holistic approach to challenges. You manage change in a sustainable manner.
You have leadership experience and academic background that matches our domain; at least at M.Sc. level. It is meritorious if you have experience in sensor technologies or autonomous systems.
