Manager Sourcing Operations & Product Development Sourcing

ValueOne is looking for a Manager Sourcing Operations & Product Development Sourcing for a consultant assignment at a company north of Stockholm. The assignment will be filled as soon as possible.

The role  

As Manager Sourcing Operations & Product Development Sourcing you will have the overall responsibility for the company´s daily sourcing operation and a team of eight direct reporting where Product Development Project Buyers and Supplier Quality Engineers are included. The work is conducted in close cooperation with the strategic sourcing team. You report to VP Sourcing and is a Member of the Sourcing Management Team.

Main tasks:

Manage Sourcing Sustainability.
Be the owner of Supplier BOM Cost in Development Projects and during Product Life cycle.
Be the main interphase towards PMO and R&D for Product development sourcing projects incl. resource planning.
Develop Sourcing processes and systems and continuously drive cost and supply improvements.
Manage and report Sourcing KPIs.
Be the main sourcing interphase in external and customer audits.

Experience and competencies  

The person we are looking for should have a university degree in a technical field or related disciplines and 5-10 years’ proven experience as Sourcing or Procurement manager from a global manufacturing industry, with experience from supplier management and sourcing related to product development. Also, experience from Sourcing Projects related to Product Development is important. You are used to work in close collaboration with R&D and project managers and have high technical knowledge.

Furthermore, you need to be an experienced purchaser of direct material for manufacturing in a global supplier base environment, working with global suppliers, specifically in Asia and China. Knowledge in reading engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes is also requested. Fluency in English, oral and written, is a must.
