Manager Special Production

Gone are the days when one size fits all. Demands for individual designs on everything from soda cans to cars require fast and smart adjustments in production. We have divided the production of cemented carbide inserts into standard and special products. The inserts plant in Gimo is the world's largest production plant for production of cemented carbide inserts. Today, our production of special inserts have 65 co-workers, where of four direct reports, and an exciting development ahead, where we are now offering a possibility to take lead and join us as Manager Specials Production.

Key performance areas
As Manager Special Production, you lead, manage and develop the planning, design and manufacturing of special products with the aim to be the customers? first choice. You ensure business KPI?s regarding lead time, delivery performance, cost and customer satisfaction, and lead the organization and set objectives in safety, quality, cost and service, both in the short and long term. Also, you ensure the ongoing development of the unit's activities from both a technical, behavioral, and organizational perspective, and ensure good cooperation with customers, suppliers and support functions. To reach a new level, you manage, develop and coach your team as well as ensure good contact and relationships with other internal and external stakeholders, especially within sales.

You report to the Production Unit Director and are a part of the plant management team. Travel is a natural part of this position.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Engineering, or equivalent knowledge obtained through extensive work experience, and a track record from a managerial role in manufacturing industry. You have documented success from production development and a background in Lean production, while experience from cutting processing and tools is an advantage. You also have strong financial business understanding and good skills in English, both written and verbal, while skills in Swedish are a merit.
