HVDC is a product group within Hitachi ABB Power Grids. HVDC unit (High Voltage Direct Current), with headquarters in Ludvika – develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.
Your responsibilities
As a Manager Stuff Function, you will develop the team and processes in factory staff function who is working with material control towards our factory shop floor.
Together with your team, ensure material availability for shop floor and coordinate with third party logistics on incoming material process.
Update and develop our tender work and ensure best cost base model for manufacturing operations.
Drive improvements and perform lessons learned on staff function activities.

Your Background
You enjoy leading, motivating and developing people, and are used to building strong relationships
You are highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, have a sense for business, and enjoy the challenge to make your team thrive and deliver excellent results
The successful candidate will have a university degree in engineering, with technical management experience as well as general line management experience
You have effective communication skills in addition to strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
You have good knowledge of SAP and ERP
You are ready to work in an international and multicultural work environment
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required
