Who we are
The team you will be leading is a team of around 8 supplier quality engineers. The supplier quality group is the link between the suppliers and internal customers in all aspects of quality, like design for manufacturing, supplier selection, quality assurance of new parts as well as long-term supplier quality development. The members are all experienced professionals and respond well to encouragement and coaching, sometimes also challenging of comfort zones.
We have a great atmosphere where we focus not only on deliveries and development but also work balance and the well-being of the teams and it´s individuals. Skills in listening, coaching, and encouraging individuals and teams is a great advantage.
Since we belong to the Scania purchasing department we also cooperate very closely with our purchasing colleagues. This gives us strength in sharing experiences and knowledge.
What you will do
In this role, you will be an important contributor when it comes to:
• Building team spirit and long term competences at Supplier Quality
• Follow up the progress of your team's quality assurance work over time
• Encouraging your employees to take an active role in our cross-functional work, both internal and external
• Be part of my Local Management team
All of this you will do together with Scania purchasing, Research & Development, Scania production, and of course, our suppliers. To help you manage the tasks we have supporting processes, systems, and standards, and last but not least very helpful colleagues.
Your profile
Being part of our team means that you will meet diverse cultures, organizations and level of management. This requires you to be a professional, social and diplomatic person. You have a structured way of working with an eye for detail. You are comfortable in the English language and have a technical background, engineering degree, or similar.
Previous experience in production and/or quality assurance is preferred.
The location
Our office is located in Södertälje, Sweden. Since our suppliers are present worldwide, traveling will also be part of your job. The need for travels is mainly decided by you and can be planned so it suits your situation.
