Manager SW Excellence & Information Security, Radar Solutions

Your role

As Head of SW Excellence and Information Security you will lead the organization responsible for ensuring our setup and security of Software Development, Innovation for future enabling technologies in Digitalization and governance of existing infrastructure. You will create the ability for all our 300+ SW engineers to excel and use their skills in the best way, creating value, product and innovation for our customers. Enablers are CI/CD, DevOps and all tools and common practices. You will ensure that we have secure systems for handling SW on all levels, using DevSecOps and ensuring right IT setup. You will also have the opportunity to drive innovation and future direction within these areas.



You will be overall responsible for the Department in terms of deliveries, budget, employee wellbeing, strategic development and resource and competence planning. It will be very important to establish a close cooperation with the Engineering software teams and Systems Engineering within Radar Solutions and across Saab as well as with Surveillance IT and Group IT units. You will be leading a department of both leaders and individual contributors and experts.

We are looking for a person with passion for SW development excellence, future technologies and information security. You are grounded in your leadership and used to interacting with senior leaders as well as developers. You have the ability to drive change with strong communication skills.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.



What you will be a part of

SW Excellence & Information Security at Engineering, Radar Solutions is a new department and we are now looking for a driven manager who likes to shape and create the organization in the best way. The unit includes 10-15 people and one manager will be reporting to you as well as several individual contributors/experts.



You will be part of Engineering Leadership Team, reporting to CTO and Head of Engineering, Radar Solutions. The leadership team works closely together and members contribute with their individual experiences and strengths. Together we are creating an engaging, including work environment and work towards our vision to strengthen our employees, and increase the level of self-governance in our teams. You will be a part of the strategy development and execution across all departments with clear responsibility for strategic objectives.



Radar Solutions Engineering is today 700 people strong, with a growth plan for future.
