We are looking for a coaching and driven leader to join our team!

Your role

We are looking for the Manager of System Design for unit Radar. Your unit has the responsibility to perform system studies, system design and requirement specifications of the radar functionality.

The group consists of around 10 system engineers with expertise within radar theory, sensor fusion, target tracking, signal processing as well as system responsibility for developing Saab Digital Sensor Core. You are coaching and leading your group towards common strategic goals, and develop common tools and adopt processes, such as the Integrated Product Creation (IPC), to support and facilitate their work. You will promote creativity, new ideas, business thinking and cooperation.

As a manager of System Design Radar you will be part of the System Design Leadership Team. You will have your own individual area of responsibility, but you also interact and take part in other groups' challenges. The leadership team works closely together and each member contributes with his or her individual experiences and strengths. Together we are creating an engaging and including work environment working towards our vision to strengthen our employees and increasing the level of self-governance in our teams.

Being a manager within the System Design also means that you contribute to the overall development of PU Mission System. You will have a close cooperation with the other groups within the PU and BU, as well as with the Engineering and the Marketing and Sales departments.



Your profile

We are looking for a person with passion for our products and a strong belief in the competence and commitment from our employees. You are confident in your leadership and have the ability to drive change and progress. You hold at least a bachelor degree in a technical field or have equivalent work experience and have great interest in technology and a desire to continuously evolve our products and improve customer satisfaction.

You find support in our processes and adopt them to improve progress and output. You create good conditions for structure.

You have a coaching leadership and actively build relationships within and across the organization. Your communicative skills and ability to share knowledge, inspire, motivate and empower the organization will be of outmost importance.

You are available for international business travel and are fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

* Experience of leading and coaching people
* Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions
* Strong business understanding and customer focus
* Strong drive, creativity and ability to generate energy
* Knowledge in software development, radar theory and signal processing



This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.

Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions, as well as traffic management systems.
