Business Area Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions, and Cyber Security.



At our division Operation Sweden, you will be part of developing our world-class Combat Systems and C4I Solutions. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and professionals in an environment that fosters career development and personal growth. You will be part of the C2S unit who develop command & control systems for air, naval and land domains. The team you will join consists primarily of System Engineers based in Gothenburg. C2S is part of the Business Area Surveillance.

Your role

You will be a part of Business Unit Combat Systems and C4I Solutions (C2S), which supplies world-leading Command and Control systems, product and services to the armed forces. We operate globally with local sites in Sweden, Finland and Australia.

We are now looking for a Manager for Systems Engineering, together with the one other SW section, drive systems engineering at C2S to the next level and support building the culture of one C2S. You will have about 20 employees and 10 consultants.



Your main responsibility will be to ensure that Operations Sweden and C2S will have the best System Engineering competence possible now and for future challenges. You will report to Head of C2S Gothenburg. The position is based in Gothenburg,

Sweden and travel is occasionally required, mainly to local sites in Järfälla, Luleå and Karlskrona.

More specifically, the role include responsibility for:

* Competence development for both strategic and operational needs in both people and team dimensions
* Provision of teams and systems engineering competence to OPSE projects/programs as well as Emerging Operations, Customer Support, Products & Strategy and Business Excellence
* Coaching teams and individuals
* Identification of cross-domain, cross product and cross section collaborations
* Education and use of best practice in all disciplines (agile etc.)
* Work environment responsibility for own staff
* Cost center budget and result



Your profile

To be successful in this role, we expect you to demonstrate very strong collaboration-, leadership- and change management skills. You must have the ability to challenge status quo and seek out new perspectives.

We are looking for a person with strong coaching ability and system engineering background. We value experience from team coaching, change management and leadership.

You have in-depth knowledge of systems development. You have good knowledge in requirement handling, system architecture and development of long-term products and you have experience from coaching agile teams in complex environments. As we act in a global environment, you need to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. You possess the willingness and proven ability to act as a change agent and proactivelychallenge the organization.

Your personality is characterized by a coaching attitude and a prestigeless willingness to succeed at all times.
