The open secret is that the music industry is struggling with the very basics of music accounting: What was played, when and where? Who should get paid and how much?

Utopia Music is bridging the data gap by connecting global consumption, accurate metadata, and fast payments to an industry-wide trust platform. Our goal is to unlock creative value and enable Fair Pay For Every Play to make a better world for Music. The solutions we offer do not threaten to usurp the role of industry incumbents - it is about bringing transparency in the industry and supporting efficient royalty collection for all.

THE ROLE

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and talented Talent Acquisition Manager to join our growing People team. You will play a vital role in the Utopia’s growth and success, by leading the entire Technology, Product and Data recruiting efforts attracting the highest calibre talent to join on our mission to change the music industry.

You will bring a unique balance of strategic expertise and hands-on delivery. You are an experienced manager with a track record of leading a group of talent acquisition professionals able to hire quality at speed for our Product Creation Team in an extremely fast-paced and diverse business environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Hire, lead and manage the Product Creation talent acquisition team, build the excellence required to hire high calibre talent at pace.

- Partner closely with our product creation C level leaders, build trust and respect through outstanding stakeholder management.

- Help shape our talent acquisition strategy aligned to the company's OKRs and long-term goals specially as it relates to tech and product talent.

- Develop and execute a talent strategy to allow continued scale across our multiple tech sites.

- Analyse data to uncover opportunities for process improvements throughout the entire candidate lifecycle.

- Define, design, and implement recruiting programs to improve product and technology hiring collaborating with our community and employer branding managers.

- Establish metrics and reporting for ongoing review, analysis and decision making to optimize hiring activity.

- Identify, prioritize, and lead initiatives to ensure that Utopia is providing a world-class candidate experience.

- Manage vendors and partnerships with a focus on reducing cost-of-hire and increasing vendor performance.

- Collaborate effectively with cross functional teams, including Finance, Legal and other People teams. Develop best practices related to compensation and benefits, employment law and contracts based on industry knowledge and competitive benchmarking.

- Contribute to our mission of being the most diverse, inclusive and equal workplace.




REQUIREMENTS

- Approximately 10+ years of relevant recruiting experience, 5+ years managing teams (ideally with experience leading teams of 10+).
- Extensive experience training and mentoring diverse and dispersed teams, ideally leading through changing environments.
- Technical expertise with a proven track record at high performing companies.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders through the use of data and market intelligence.
- High level of analytical skills with a clear data-driven mindset.
- Strong project management skills, with the capability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of Engineering, Product and Data roles, the tech market and its trends, and a great network within the tech/engineering community.
- The ability to break down long-term hiring strategies into shorter-term initiatives and work with the TA team to successfully execute against these.
- Open-minded person who values collaboration and teamwork more than individual success and who helps us to work smarter, not harder.
