We are looking for a manager for the Target Tracking Software section, within the department of Signal and Data Processing Applications at Saab Radar Solutions.



What you will be a part of

Saab Radar Solutions serves the market with world-leading radar products. At Signal and Data Processing Applications (SDPA) we are responsible for development of signal processing, sensor control and target tracking software as well as simulators and virtual development environments. This includes system design, implementation, integration and verification over the product life cycle. We are around 140 engineers in the department and expect to grow significantly during 2023.

Business area Surveillance offers world-leading sensor technology in monitoring and decision support to protect against threats. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, C4I solutions, aviation systems and cyber security.

Your role

As the manager for Target Tracking Software you will lead teams of highly skilled software engineers and technical specialists developing state-of-the-art target tracking applications. We work in product-oriented agile teams and strive for a high degree of decentralized decision making in order to achieve speed and quality. As manager you are the design responsible for the systems and tools within the area. You lead and support the teams, together you remove obstacles limiting the flow in the development. You set best practices for the development by looking into all relevant aspects of software engineering. As the line manager you manage employee wellbeing, strategic development, and competence planning. You will also be part of the SDPA Management Team and contribute to the SDPA technology strategy.



The main tasks are:

Lead and coach your teams towards goals and strategies, be a role model

Constantly strive for software engineering excellence and a culture of learning

Cooperation and interactions with both internal and external stakeholders

Responsibility for recruitment and budget



Your profile

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

We are looking for a person with passion for our products and a strong belief in the competence and commitment from our employees. Knowledge and experience in production grade software, as well as agile methodology is important combined with the ability and courage to drive change.



We believe you have competence and experience within some of the following areas:

3+ years of professional experience within software development
*

3+ years of experience of leading and coaching people and a genuine interest to develop organizations, teams and people
*

Knowledge in the area of target tracking and machine learning
*

Strong business understanding and customer focus
*

Excellent communication skills
*

Appropriate professional or postgraduate qualifications
