Northvolt has an exciting job offer for the role manager test & validation. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of large-scale European battery factories. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure the successful execution of test plans and validation activities.
Test Strategy Development: Develop and implement the test strategy for automotive battery modules, ensuring that it meets safety, performance, and regulatory standards.
Test Plan Creation: Create comprehensive test plans, specifying test cases, test methods, and acceptance criteria.
Testing Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and oversee testing activities on battery modules, including cell, module, and system-level tests, while ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Customer Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing updates on testing progress, and collaborating to understand and meet their specific requirements.
Test Environment Setup: Establish and maintain test environments, both in-house and at third-party facilities, ensuring that they meet the required standards and safety protocols.
Technology Roadmap: Develop a technology roadmap for the battery testing platform, keeping abreast of the latest advancements in testing methods and equipment.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for design improvements based on test results to enhance product quality and durability.
Compliance and Certification: Ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications for automotive battery modules.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in testing Li-ion battery modules or packs.
Proven experience in team leadership and management.
Expertise in industry standards and certifications for Li-ion batteries.
Strong coordination and project management skills.
Experience working in a multi-cultural environment is a plus.
Skills/Abilities:
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; knowledge of Swedish or German is a plus.
Passionate and purpose-driven with a strong commitment to safety and product quality.
Highly organized and adept at planning and scheduling.
Adaptability and a willingness to learn in an interdisciplinary environment.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
