Consumer Services at Volvo Group Connected Solutions is responsible for the end user services, from idea to development and operation. Together with our partners and customers we create value through fantastic user experience and business enhancing services and products.

We are now looking for the Manager UX and Service Design to join us and to take part in our exiting journey ahead. We are a collaborative team of more than 20 highly skilled UX/UI and Service Designers with an ambitious target to create world class user experience for our digital products.

The role

In this role you will lead, facilitate and mentor team members to be more customer-centric, experimental, holistic, and to constantly challenge themselves to deliver awesome new experiences.
You should partner with our Volvo Group Connected Solutions teams, our Business Areas, our Product Teams to co-develop products and business strategies, which inform prioritization, planning, and decisions across multiple Products and Business areas teams.

You will also;

Work with design, research, program management, and product leaders on process for product development from business and user needs to implementation and evaluation.
Provide creative and strategic leadership for design and throughout product development.
Drive creation of new product and business strategy at the intersection of user needs and business goals, spearheading the development of experience-led visions.
Ensure high-quality deliveries with proven business benefit across broader organization and set expectations within the design teams to standards of quality.
Lead recruiting processes, reaching out to potential candidates, conducting technical assessment of candidates' design capabilities.
Advance the learning and competence of the team capabilities through mentorship, training, conference participations, etc.
Support in the exploration of new, innovative design solutions and patterns.



Your profile

Bachelors or Masters' degree in related field preferred or equivalent relevant experience
You are a leader with strong relationship capabilities and enjoy working with others in flexible team constellations.
Many year’s experience of design leadership of complex products with multiple platforms or channels and multiple audiences.
5+ years managing and developing design teams.
Experience leading a program of work across multiple teams through full product development cycles in discovery, concepting, prototypes, specifications, and enablement across design teams.
Deep expertise in journey and service mapping, storytelling, product design, problem framing and solving design problems.
Strong facilitation skills and experience employing a variety of methods and techniques to run complex design-led workshops.
Able to work effectively on an intercultural team, keeping consistency across regions.
Experience working with external partners, driving work packages, and/or consultancy services background will be a plus.
