As Manager within the Valve Department of HVDC you will have an exciting and important position in our global organization. Here you will continuously meet new people and exciting challenges. This is a developing role where you will be able to grow and be a key part of delivering our HVDC systems all over the world.
The Valve Electrical Design 2 is one of two electrical engineering departments within the Valves team. This team delivers state of the art converter valve designs for tenders and projects worldwide. Today the team consists of 8 engineers but is growing rapidly due to the great market outlook. In this role you will report to the Global Valve Electrical design manager and be part of the Global Valve Management team.
Your responsibilities
Implement follow up HSE and Quality within the department
Genuinely develop your team and lead by good example
Enable and follow up on time delivery of Valve electrical design in projects and tenders
Be responsible for the Sales and operations planning of this department, making sure the department can take on current and future tasks
Be part of the exciting expansion of this team, working with recruitment and efficient onboarding
Ensure the team has a clear direction of systematically working with quality and continuous improvements
Participate in clarifying roles and responsibilities within the department but also for the valve team common roles and functions

Your background
As a leader you are open minded and flexible with good communication skills
Genuine interest in coaching and developing your team in combination with fostering strong collaboration with peers and interfacing functions, both locally and globally
You hold a University Degree in Engineering or similar
You have relevant leadership experience, where you have successfully been leading a team of people in previous roles or responsibilities
You are curious towards the technical side of the business and the customer
Fluent in English to be able to interact with both local and global stakeholders
