Manager Volvo Penta Distribution Center, Vara

The organization Global Operations & Quality consists of facilities in Sweden, China and the USA, with global support functions such as Supply Chain, Quality, Environment and Product Compliance, Industrial Development and Business Control.


In the Vara plant about 250 employees manufacture marine and stationary diesel engines, Vara is also the Distribution center for the European market. As Manager for Volvo Penta Distribution Center, VPDC in Vara you will be responsible for activities related to timely and accurate pick pack and ship our engine and accessories to the customer.


As a Leader for the distribution center important tasks will be to together with the team of 20 blue collars secure the delivery precision, communicate with supply chain, perform necessary replanning, drive, and participate in continuous improvements and projects. Your most frequent outside Vara contacts are Global Supply Chain, and Volvo Logistics.


Another important part of your role will also be to be part of and support the Logistic Management Team in developing the organization and the collaboration with other functions. You will be reporting to the Manager for Plant Logistics and main KPI´s are delivery precision and safety.


You preferably hold a degree in Engineering, Logistics or equivalent and have work experience in Logistics or industry related to production. Preferably also experienced as a leader from the areas of production or distribution.
You need to be fluent in Swedish and English and have a clear customer focus combined with high responsiveness. You are passionate about people and a leader who knows how to bring out the best out of your team.
