Volvo Personvagnars Pensionsstiftelse (VPPS) is Volvo Cars pension trust, with about SEK 10 billion in assets under management. Matters relating to the trust are handled by a Board of Directors, appointed to an equal number by the employers who have allocated funds to the trust and the employee organizations of the employees whose employers are covered by the purpose of the trust.
The Board of Directors has delegated power to the Managing Director (MD) to decide over general day-to-day business matters of the trust. Through the trust’s Investment Policy, the Board of Directors also delegates power to a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to make decisions related to the management of the trust’s assets.

What do we offer
VPPS is the organization which manages the assets securing the pensions for Volvo Cars Swedish employees, who are covered by ITP2.
As MD of the Trust, you will be responsible for administrating the investment organization and the processes supporting it. This includes managing budgets, securing management reporting and statutory reporting, as well as assuring the accounting process. This role also serves as a first line risk control by supporting the investment managers with assuring adherence to limits in the investment policy.
Furthermore you will secure compliance to regulations, oversight of risk control and reporting to authorities. There is significant interaction with various stakeholders such as Volvo Cars Corporation and PRI, as well as suppliers such as fund management companies. We need you to possess a good understanding of financial markets and relevant financial products. The position reports to the Board of the Pension Trust and we see that a suitable location could be Stockholm or Gothenburg.
And this is your profile
University degree in Accounting, Finance or Law
Strong administrative skillset
Experience of financial markets from a fund management company or pension trust is a merit
Able to quickly spot issues and develop a recommended approach
Understanding of basic accounting concepts
Good communication and people management skills
Self-starter with ability to streamline executive decision making
Excellent English in both orally and written and able to concisely present orally and in presentations
Team player with ability to build broad relationships internally and externally
