At Coromant, we’re right now looking for Manufacturing and Process Engineers to join our new Solid Round Tools (SRT) production in Gimo – an excellent opportunity to be a part of building a brand-new organization!
About the job
Your main mission is to optimize our manufacturing processes to ensure the highest level of quality and efficiency. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, you drive continuous improvements, reduce costs and enhance overall productivity – all in order to contribute to meeting customer demands and maintaining our competitive edge.
Digging into more details, your role includes:
Analyzing data and using statistical tools to identify areas for improvement in our manufacturing processes.
Developing and implementing solutions to reduce cost, increase efficiency and minimize waste.
Implementing quality control measures and participating in root cause analysis for any production issues.
Maximizing performance of existing equipment and evaluating end proposing future tools and solutions.
Collaborating with product development teams in the introduction of new products, to ensure seamless transition from product design to manufacturing.
Training and supporting new colleagues on processes and equipment.
About you
Through several years’ experience of manufacturing and process engineering, you’ve gained strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment and best practices. You’re proficient in process simulation and optimization software such as AutoCAD and CAM, and it’s a plus if you also are experienced in Six Sigma methodologies and quality management systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams is also necessary to thrive in this role. Your experience is backed by an engineering degree. As we work locally but in a global environment, you need skills in both Swedish and English.
