Global Manufacturing Engineering at Volvo Car Group prepares and implements quality assured flexible and effective production systems in Propulsion Components plants globally. At Manufacturing Engineering, you are part of a group working close to all our elements within the chain of developing- construction- manufacturing, and containing processes.

About the role

We are now looking for a Manufacturing ART Leader to secure the product and process design within the area of Power Electronics. You are a part of the ART(SAFe®) cooperating to secure end-to-end optimized product and process solutions. To achieve this, you lead and support a team of Manufacturing Engineers where you are responsible to secure flow in daily operations as well as defining the future and way forward to reach it.  
As a MAL you are representing Manufacturing in the ART, where you also own the manufacturing deliveries within the ART and to car programs. You are approving product solutions in the ART where you also have the mandate to represent manufacturing and to balance manufacturing-related deliveries. 

About you

You are positive and have a demonstrated ability to lead teams to reach common goals. You are strategically minded and strong in assessing needs whereafter you identify the means to reach your highly set ambitions. You are passionate about people and technology, and you explore and develop these areas through curiosity, strong leadership, and collaboration. You are motivated by making a difference. Communication in all forms and to all kinds of receivers is one of your strengths. You have high integrity and a good ability to argue for your sake, which helps you in building constructive relationships. A strong sense of ownership is a must. 

Your background is a Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar. You have knowledge about 6 Sigma and lean production. Previous experience in production processes and product development, preferably from automotive, is beneficial. Fluent in English, both written and spoken, is a must. In addition, your personality will be of utmost importance.
