The Data & Analytics (D&A) serves as the central unit responsible for establishing data standards, principles, policies, and frameworks. Hubs are established within specific business areas, each maintaining its dedicated data teams. These teams are responsible for operationalizing and managing data ownership tailored to their specific business areas.
The Manufacturing Data and Analytics Hub is accountable for developing and managing Data Products and Analytics products for the Manufacturing function, aimed at improving efficiency and decision-making in manufacturing operations.
As our Business Intelligence Lead for the Manufacturing Business Intelligence Team, you’re in for an exciting journey, leading the way in enhancing manufacturing analytics. Your influence extends beyond your team, ensuring that the analytical products we create aren’t just state-of-the-art but also customized to meet the specific need of all downstream users. What you’ll do
You will manage the manufacturing Business Intelligence Team, situated within the manufacturing analytics product team.
As the leader of our BI analysts, you’ll provide technical guidance, assist the Product Lead in promoting upskilling, and leverage your analytical landscape knowledge. You will demonstrate an understanding of the strengths and experiences within the manufacturing data team, enabling that the right skills are applied to each project. Your dedication extends to inspiring the team, facilitating career growth, and ensuring adherence to data and analytical best practices.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake and dbt python package is a plus.
Your responsibility is to create accurate and user-friendly analytical products accessible to all levels within our manufacturing organization. To achieve this, you’ll combine innovative approaches with Volvo’s best practices, empowering our teams to make informed data-driven decisions. Collaborations is key, and you’ll actively engage stakeholders using a ‘test and learn’ philosophy, ensuring our analytical solutions evolve with the business’s needs.
Furhermore, you’ll streamline analytical products, making sure they meet requirements, monitor their relevance, and proactively identify opportunities to apply manufacturing products to other areas of the business. Your holistic approach contributes to maintaining an efficient toolkit and driving innovation across the organization.
What you’ll bring
We believe you have deep experience in building data and analytical products, using software such as Power BI, Tableau, Kibana and Grafana. You have experience in managing a team of BI engineers and strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
As a person you have a way with numbers and have a strong business acumen, enabling you to contribute to strategic decision-making.
We further believe your broad experience grants you valuable intuition while also enabling you to uphold a critical mindset through self-reflection and a willingness to embrace challenges from colleagues at every level.
You are motivated by a burning desire for excellence yet approach your goals pragmatically.
Meritorious with prior experience within an automotive environment.
