Manufacturing Design Engineer
The Reliability & Future Factory team at SKF are now expanding the team with two new Manufacturing Design Engineers that will provide knowledge of our different manufacturing processes and how they are linked to each other digitally.
You will be our future experts and process owners within the area of Manufacturing Process Management (MPM). You will be responsible for the factories’ BOP and mBOM templates, set calculation rules and work with processes such as 3D Cad model templates and model for material growth in heat treatment. Since this is a new role and MPM is currently being developed, you will be part of growing this role with the MPM project. Initially the focus will be on the factory in Gothenburg, and over time the responsibilities will gradually grow (up to 50 percent) to cover other factories in Europe and North America.
Key responsibilities
As Manufacturing Design Engineer, you will hold one of the key competencies in designing and implementing the MPM system. You will:
• Make sure templates and algorithms connected to the MPM system are up to date
• Drive Competence- and Governance forum to improve and standardize the use and set up of the MPM system
• Work closely with all relevant departments using these systems and technologies, such as Reliability Engineering, Product Engineering, Tool Design, Business Team etc.
• Provide support/training/instructions to users, such as Reliability Engineers, Product Engineers, etc.
Requirements
• University degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Experience and skills in working with Siemens Teamcenter or similar MPM systems
• Advantageous with 3D Cad experience (Creo and NX)
• Experience and knowledge of how manufacturing systems operate and are set up
• Advantageous if you have experience and Six Sigma certification
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
