At Manufacturing Engineering, you are part of a global production team that makes sure that the cars we build meet the highest expectations from our customers. In close collaboration with colleagues in other business units, we develop and implement flexible and efficient production systems with people in focus. Who are we?
Manufacturing Engineer area is responsible to secure the manufacturability in the plants by driving our manufacturing requirements towards the product. This means that you will be the link between Engineering and Manufacturing, you need to create a wide network, that is beneficial for the tasks, but also for individual development. Our department is developing the total process of the final assembly including, creation of instruction, creating of tooling concept and the specifications of the needed production tools.

What will you do?
* Provide HPDC expertise during casting concept studies and product design studies.
* Develop our standards to enhance manufacturability in our plants.
* Run simulation verification of product feasibility and tool concepts in the virtual phase.
* Support development the HPDC and trim tools needed in our production plants
* Be an active team member in our ME Casting commodity team.


Who you are?
* Experience from performing casting simulations, preferably in ProCast
* Advanced English communication skills
* Experience working in an international environment.
* You have a Bachelor of science or similar and have experience of working with the automotive or casting industry. You have product and process development knowledge.


What you’ll bring?

You will be the go-to person for expertise related to this area, therefore a positive attitude and understanding of different perspectives combined with balancing stakeholders is important. This together with the willingness to coach and support to contribute to organizational development. Besides that, you are willing to take “hands-on” tasks and are good at planning your work accordingly. With your great experience combined with the ability to come up with new ideas, you will be able to bring this role to the necessary level.

This is the role for you with several years of experience in die design working in a Die manufacturing company or as a Die responsible in a company producing structural parts. You know how to create a solid tool development plan which is tightly linked to the overall car program. You have an interest in the latest industry trends, and you are curious to find out which new technical solutions can add value.
