Manufacturing Engineer

The role
In this role you will be an integral part of the Manufacturing Engineering Casting and stamping organization with the task to design new High Pressure Die Casting Lines, Machining lines and Facilities. The team tasks include specifying and laying out new Equipment, Die Casting lines and machining lines as well as supporting product development.
The Manufacturing engineer is reporting to the Area leader and is the ME stakeholder in the product projects, supporting the successful release of new products for the assigned area. This is done by communicating and verifying ME demands, making product feasibility studies and providing constructive product feedback to the R&D department.
Responsibilities
• ME representative in the product Engineering meetings
• Supporting the product interface deliveries for the project
• Own assigned items in the Team Backlog(s)
• Responsible for updating the Area leader with assigned deliveries in the project
• Participate in all necessary risk analysis, FMEA’s and documentation of Lessons learned.
• Support the project hand over to the plant
• Drive assigned tasks towards agreed manufacturing targets
• Responsible for updating status to Area leader in front of IE#/Gateway/Milestone
• Responsible for actively networking and for collaboration with other manufacturing engineers to improve commonality, WoW and my profession
• Provide support to RFQ preparation work within my area of responsibility
• Participate in design review meetings with suppliers
Requirements
• Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Experience from Product development positions.
• Experience from CAM simulation, preferably in NX CAM.
• Experience from working with CNC machining.
• Experience in lean manufacturing.
